The back of the unit and bottom of the drawers feature tongue and groove panelling to help prevent both from bowing under heavier weights. The drawers themselves also feature dovetail joining to ensure they keep their square shape, while the whole unit is given a soft-touch finish, showing the full grain and patina of the wood without any of the roughness when touching it.
